ACUPUNCTURE

During an acupuncture treatment, fine needles will be inserted into carefully selected pressure points along the body which correspond to the energetic meridians (think highways that carry energy throughout the body). This will allow for decreased pain, increased blood flow, and a reset of the nervous system to a parasympathetic state.

Acupuncture is an effective form of health care to treat stress, insomnia, pain, headaches/migraines, post partum, dysmenorrhea (painful periods), constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, anxiety, depression, and allergic rhinitis.

Treatments are completed face up and/or face down on a massage table.

Dr.Michaela's acupuncture sessions may also include reiki, body cupping, gua sha, or ear seeds. *This is dependent on treatment plan, length of appointment, and comfortability of the patient.

COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

This treatment can tighten facial muscles, reduce wrinkles, diminish blemishes and sun damage, and increase collagen production. Hair-thin needles are gently inserted into specific points on the face, neck, and body. This appointment will also include gua sha and facial cupping.

Dr.Michaela also uses Chinese medicine theory to find the root cause of acne. Chinese herbal formulas or products can be prescribed. She targets scars or breakout areas to help increase blood flow and decrease inflammation. This signals the body to send more blood and white blood cells to the area, focusing on bacteria under the skin. The response also builds more collagen to help with scars and hyperpigmentation.

REIKI

Reiki can help heal physical ailments, release emotional stagnation, inner child healing, and foster healthy personality traits like confidence and self-worth. It also clears and balances the seven chakras. During the session, Dr.Michaela utilizes crystals, tuning forks, and music for a deeply relaxing and healing experience.

Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful form of energy healing that offers deep relaxation, empowerment, and guidance. It is not religious; the word "holy" is used to mean "whole and complete." It promotes wholeness on all levels —physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

MASSAGE & CUPPING

Therapeutic bodywork designed to improve blood circulation, release energy blockages, reduce pain and inflammation, enhance joint mobility, and promote relaxation and stress relief. Tui Na massage works with the body’s meridian channels, acupressure points, and muscular system to facilitate deep, cellular-level transformation.

Cupping helps treat physical pain, connective tissue, and deep scar tissue in the muscles. It's often used for treating backache, frozen shoulder, tight IT bands and calfs, and constipation. This is a great combination session for musculoskeletal symptoms.
